# Collection
### A university’s perspective
The UNSW Art Collection is a leading collection of Australian art, from the mid-twentieth century to the present, collected from a university perspective for the enrichment of campus life.
Four principle goals govern its purpose:
- To maintain the Collection as a resource of national significance;
- To ensure its preservation and safe keeping;
- To maximise accessibility to the Collection;
- To broaden its public profile leading to increased appreciation, community awareness and support.
Paintings, barks, sculpture, prints, drawings, and ceramics make up the UNSW Art Collection and are displayed throughout the campuses in secure public spaces, as well as in the libraries and main offices of the University's administration, Faculties and Schools.
