About Development Studies Week

Development Studies Week will return 27 April-1 May 2026. Our full webinar schedule is now live, and you can book your place using the registration links below.

During the week, each School and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) will host daily online sessions introducing their disciplines, entry requirements, unique benefits and career prospects.

Sessions are led by academics and feature alumni from across the world, sharing their experiences and career insights.

### Course overview and alumni careers webinar

11am-12pm

Join Dr Anke Schwittay (Professor of Anthropology & Global Development) and co-convenor Dr Zoha Zokaei (Assistant Professor in Media Practice) to find out more about the Media Practice for Development and Social Change MA and hear from alumni. This one hour session will be interactive and allow for questions in a dedicated Q&A session.
