If you are University staff or a Sussex student, you can swim from as little as £1.50 at local pools.
Swimming from £1.50
University of Sussex students and staff can swim for a discounted price at local Freedom Leisure pools in Brighton & Hove. Simply show your University of Sussex ID card at every swim session to get your discount.
Students can swim for £1.50 per session at any of the pools' general/adult swim times, and staff can swim for just £2.50 per visit.
A valid University of Sussex staff identity card or in date student ID card must be presented to pool staff at every visit.
Participating pools include:
- Prince Regent (Brighton)
- King Alfred (Hove)
- St Luke’s (Brighton)
Check the general/adult swim times at the centres to plan your visits.
Women-only swim sessions are available at some pools. Please check the timetable of the centre you're visiting for more information.
St Luke’s swimming pool runs regular trans-friendly swim sessions. Days and times can vary so please check with the pool directly for details.
Terms and conditions
- Discounted swims are available at general adult open swim sessions. Check the individual pool timetables to confirm ahead of your visit
- This offer is open to staff employed by the University of Sussex only, on presentation of a valid University of Sussex staff ID card at every visit
- This offer is based on funding for a fixed amount of individual swims per year. The length of this offer in any given year is therefore under regular review
- Availability of pools is subject to our external partners. Please check ahead of your visit to make sure that the pool is open and still included in our discounted offer.
