Use our postgraduate application system if you want to apply for a PhD degree at Sussex.

When you’re ready to apply, you can create an account (if you’re making a new application) and log in to our postgraduate application system.

## Creating a new account

You will need to create a new account on the postgraduate application system if you:

- are a new applicant who hasn’t used our application system before
- have previously applied to Sussex but are making a new application for this year’s entry. You will no longer have access to any applications from previous years.

### Deferred applicants

You should not create a new account if you previously deferred your place and are now holding an offer to start at Sussex this year.
