Spring teaching

On this module, you’ll explore inequality, violence and protest as forms of disorder from legal, political and sociological perspectives. You’ll examine how social problems are understood, addressed and how social change happens. This module builds on ‘Order and Disorder A’, which is a prerequisite.

You’ll be challenged to question your assumptions about the social world and tackle complex social scientific problems. Key topics include:

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
