Membership types

Gold membership
- anytime gym use
- unlimited group fitness classes
- anytime racket sports court hire
- 14 days advance booking rights for classes and courts
- gym introduction on request
- Access to more than 90 facilities at 75 universities nationwide with BUCS UNIversal Gym.
Silver membership
- off-peak fitness room use (until 2.30pm)
- unlimited group fitness classes
- off-peak racket sports court hire (until 4pm)
- 10 days advance booking rights for classes and courts
- gym introduction on request.
Bronze membership
- reduced rate pay-and-play fitness room use (from £4 a visit)
- reduced rate pay-per-class group fitness classes (from £5 a visit)
- reduced rate pay-and-play racket sports court hire (from £3.50 a visit)
- 7 days advance booking rights for classes and courts
- gym introduction on request.

Staff employed by the University of Sussex can pay for gold and silver memberships monthly via salary deduction (subject to contract). Please fill in this form, sign and then scan and send to sussexsport@sussex.ac.uk. SussexUniFood, Co-op, Balfour Beatty FM and SEF staff can pay for their memberships via standing order. Please ask at either the Sport Centre or Falmer Sports Complex reception for details.

New year promotions 2026
- Staff Gold membership through to the end of August 2026 - only £156 paid up front.
- Student Gold membership through to the end of June 2026 - only £110 paid up front.
- Public off-peak Silver membership through to the end of March 2026 - only £60 paid up front.
To sign up for any of the offers above, just ask at the Sports Centre reception or buy your membership via our online booking page. After signing in select ‘Buy and manage my membership’, then ‘Membership extras’, then ‘Staff new year special’.
You can now pay for your courts and classes online via the new pay portal within the online booking system. On completing your transaction you will receive a confirmation email for your payment and a confirmation email for the booking. Please keep these emails.
If you are a current student or staff member, you do not need to confirm your password, simply go to the home button after you have logged in.

Non-members
You can now pay for your booking by completing the required information when prompted. You do not need to have an online booking password.\
