Sport Centre – your indoor fitness hub
Located at the heart of campus, the Sport Centre is a hive of indoor activity. From high-energy workouts to skill-based sport, it’s designed to inspire all levels of ability.
- 212-station gym, fully equipped with the latest strength, cardio and resistance machines
- cardio-specific fitness rooms for focused training
- fitness class studio with a full programme led by qualified instructors
- two large multi-sport halls featuring basketball, netball, badminton, pickleball, table tennis and indoor cricket
- indoor cricket nets for team and individual practice
- dedicated dance and martial arts studio
- therapy room and a professional sports injury clinic for treatment and recovery

Falmer Sports Complex – outdoor excellence
The Falmer Sports Complex is the home of our outdoor sport, providing professional-level facilities for competition, training and casual recreation. In 2025, we’ll launch our new Strength and Conditioning Suite to elevate performance even further.
- outdoor gym space in a natural setting
- six hard-surface tennis courts and a netball court
- full-sized floodlit 3G pitch for football and rugby
- three-quarter-size 3G floodlit pitch (60m x 40m) for training and smaller-sided games
- floodlit AstroTurf pitch featuring the latest sand-dressed surface technology
- high-quality grass pitches for football, rugby, cricket and more
- artificial cricket wicket and two dedicated practice nets.

Active Arches – new for 2025
Active Arches is our brand-new workout and wellness space next door to the Student Centre. Purpose-built for small group personal training and gentle fitness, it’s the perfect place to begin your health journey or reconnect with your body and mind.
- yoga and wellness studio in a calm, informal setting
- small group PT sessions for a personalised experience
- low-impact and stretch-focused equipment ideal for new starters or recovery
- Active US sessions for beginners, social fitness and confidence-building.

All Sussex Sport facilities are fully accessible, including for wheelchair users and those using walking aids.

Visitors can park for free when using the Sport Centre – just register your vehicle at reception. Please ensure you check our parking regulations before your visit.
