**Spring teaching**

On this module, you’ll put the ideas and quantitative techniques that you’ve learned into practice to complete an empirical project in economics or finance.

You’ll:

- choose one of the project titles (or create your own, with approval)
- survey relevant literature
- collect data and apply appropriate statistical or econometrics methods
- compile and interpret results.

You’ll have an assigned supervisor to guide you through the project.

### Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 3 hours of contact time and about 147 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
