If you enjoy playing competitive sport, our student clubs will have something for you.
## Sports clubs
University of Sussex sports clubs are run by the Students' Union, you can [search their website](https://sussexstudent.com/sport-societies-media/sport) to find sports clubs that you're interested in.
Sussex has a diverse mix of [student sports clubs](https://www.sussexstudent.com/sport-societies-media/sports-club-societies-list/) with plenty of opportunity for competitive sport.
There's something for everyone, with club activity ranging from Archery to Volleyball and Mountaineering to Surf and Snow. And if the club or society of your dreams doesn't exist, then start one! You only need three members to form a club or society at Sussex.
Most clubs have weekly training sessions with expert coaches and compete in local, regional and national level competitions. And if you’re a talented student athlete, we offer [Sports Scholarships](https://www.sussex.ac.uk/sport/students/scholarships) to help you develop.
You can show your support for our sports teams at matches, and spectators are welcome to attend. Home games take place on Wednesday afternoons at the [Sport Centre](https://www.sussex.ac.uk/sport/facilities/sportcentre), [Falmer Sports Complex](https://www.sussex.ac.uk/sport/facilities/falmersportscomplex), Mandela Hall in Falmer House and Russell's Clump, by the ACCA lawns.
## BUCS
British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) leagues anc championships are the highlight for many of our student teams.

Sports clubs play fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon, and training times will depend on which club you join.
## Martial arts
