Vice-Chancellor’s Welcome Celebration
On Friday 26 September 2025, the University of Sussex’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sasha Roseneil will host a special event to welcome all new students.
As a Sussex student, you’re part of a School that sits within one of our four Faculties.
The Welcome Celebration will be held at the Jubilee Lecture Theatre and will include:
- a keynote address from the Vice-Chancellor
- an inspirational presentation from a Sussex alumnus from your Faculty
- closing remarks from each Faculty’s Executive Dean.
After the talks, you’ll have the chance to:
- meet and connect with Sussex staff and fellow students
- talk to the Spirit of Sussex Team
- enjoy our photobooth and freshly baked cookies.
This celebration marks the end of Welcome Week and the start of your Sussex journey. You can expect to find performers, musicians, and even a few animals across campus!
Places are limited to 500 students, so book your spot as soon as possible.
