**15 credits, Level 3 (sub-degree)**

**Autumn teaching**

On this module, you’ll explore ways of understanding the changing world around you, drawing on the disciplines of anthropology, geography, international development and international relations that make up the School of Global Studies. You’ll also learn about the interdisciplinary perspectives that arise from bringing these disciplines into dialogue with each other and with others in the social sciences.\
\
You’ll explore how each of the disciplines help you to better understand identity by:

- looking at different aspects of identity (such as class, gender and ethnicity among others), examining how our unique sense of self is shaped by wider social forces
- examining how each of the global disciplines differs and yet overlaps in their approach to the study of identity and intersectionality.
