About Career Lab

Career Lab is a programme open to all Sussex taught students. It is a series of opportunities designed to develop your skills, experience, connections and confidence throughout your time at Sussex.\ Career Lab programmes take place primarily in the Spring term. Find out more about when programmes will be advertised and take place.

How to apply

You can apply directly through each programme's dedicated page, where you will also find further information. But there are some restrictions. In one academic year, if you are in:

• your second year, you can only accept either one Career Lab UK Summer internship or an Online Global Summer Internship or the Junior Research Associate scheme
• your third or final year, you can only accept either one Career Lab UK Summer Internship or an Online Global Summer Internship
• your third or final year, or postgraduate, you can only participate in either the Winter or Spring Student Consultancy Programme. If you successfully complete the Winter Student Consultancy programme you cannot apply to take part in the Spring Student Consultancy programme
• any year, you can only take part in one Digital Skills Bootcamp and one Accelerator per financial year (1 April to 31 March), if you have not already completed the course during your time at Sussex.

Don’t forget: you can earn Spirit of Sussex Award points for the successful participation of any Career Lab opportunity.
