The singular Meshell Ndegeocello honors James Baldwin in *No More Water* — a genre-defying work that “howls with clenched-teeth fury, sobs in soul-crushing despair, [and] prances in queer joy with cautious optimism” (DownBeat).

Co-sponsored by Yale’s Black Sound and the Archive Working Group, Yale School of Music, and Yale Schwarzman Center. Presented as part of the Yale School of Music’s Ellington Jazz Series.
