Read more about YISF research streams:

1. Defining ESG Risk Exposure Internalization Pathway

YISF’s current project investigates whether and how ESG risks are internalized and the effects of corporate mitigation practices on the internalization process.

2. Corporate ESG Disclosure and Financial Markets Implications

Do firms benefit from reporting sustainability information? YISF’s recent work studies the valuation effect on equities after firms initiated the disclosure of key ESG metrics.

3. Corporate Environmental Disclosure and Litigation Risk

Given the rapid growth of corporate climate change disclosure and mis- or disinformation of these disclosures. YISF strives to shed light on the potential litigation risk associated with corporate environmental disclosure by utilizing natural language processing (NLP)-based content analysis.

4. Institutional Investors’ Engagement in Corporate Sustainability Practices

YISF explores investors’ engagements on firms’ ESG practices through different avenues.

5. Defining and Applying Materiality to Guide Corporate Disclosure

Companies often rely on disparate definitions of materiality, which leads to inconsistencies in reporting and confusion for investors. YISF's recently published paper on materiality in corporate reporting in the food sector examines the challenges involved.
