Using the Block Editor
Last updated on February 19, 2026
New CampusPress sites at Yale use the Block Editor (also known as Gutenberg) as the default editor. The Block Editor lets you build pages and posts using individual content blocks — paragraphs, images, headings, buttons, columns, and more.
For an introduction to using the Block Editor, including video tutorials, see Introduction to the Block Editor at docs.campuspress.com.
Prefer the Classic Editor?
If you’d rather use the Classic Editor, you can switch in Dashboard > Settings > Writing:
- Set Default Editor for Users to Classic Editor
- Set Allow Users to Switch Editors to Yes so authors can toggle between both editors on individual posts and pages
Note: changing these settings only affects your site — it will not affect other sites on the network.
