# Premieres and Commissions
Over the last sixty years, American college wind bands have been extremely prolific in commissioning music from the world’s greatest composers. The Yale Concert Band is a pioneer in this regard, having had a commitment to commissioning since the 1950s.
Premieres are listed in **bold text.**
