# Independent Research Opportunities

A variety of opportunities are available for undergraduates interested in pursuing independent research, many of which provide funding during the summer. More than fifteen [individual fellowship programs](http://science.yalecollege.yale.edu/yale-science-engineering-research/fellowship-grants) are available for the support of undergraduate research, and many student research projects are supported by individual faculty research grants.
