Funding
Ph.D. students at Yale are normally fully funded for a minimum of five years. During that time, our students receive a twelve-month stipend to cover living expenses and a fellowship that covers the full cost of tuition and student healthcare.
In addition to your stipend, you may be eligible for financial support through fellowships and grants. See below for some options that are available to you.

- Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship\ The Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemical Sciences or Chemical Instrumentation Award Program supports advanced research by postdoctoral scholars within the core areas of fundamental chemistry or the development and build of chemical instrumentation. Scholarships
- ACS Catalyst Scholarship\ The ACS Catalyst Scholarship is designed to help undergraduate students overcome financial barriers that can stand in the way of earning their degree. Recipients can receive $10,000 each year, in addition to mentorship and professional development opportunities to help make the most of their college journey.\ \ Learn more at the ACS Catalyst Scholarship webpage. - Mavroyannis Scholarship for graduate studies in Theoretical Physics or Physical Chemistry\ The scholarship is open to Greek national and Greek heritage graduate students. The award is a one-time grant of USD 5,000. Learn more.
Awards
Colton Award, Colton Center for Autoimmunity at Yale (CCAY)
The CCAY requests project proposals to advance innovative translational research in autoimmune and allergic diseases, including but not limited to: discovery and development of therapeutics, diagnostics, and tolerogenic vaccines; investigations to elucidate biological mechanisms of complex immunological and allergic diseases; and development of platform technologies to facilitate such research.
