Yale has several resources for printing and publishing your chapbook, literary journal, or zine, website, or podcast. This section serves as a road map to finding what you need. Whether you are looking for funding, equipment, or guidance, we can help direct you there. Use the links below to explore the resource landscape for printing and publication.

Funding

• CPA guidelines for accessing awarded funds: Each residential college has its own guidelines for how CPA recipients may spend their award funding, so contact your Head of College office with questions.\
• Other funding opportunities: Yale has several awards, fellowships, and funds available to undergraduate art-makers in addition to the CPA.

Web Hosting

• Yale/WIX Partnership: Yale College’s Office of Career Strategy has partnered with Wix to provide students with access to a unique, multi-year premium account where they can showcase and promote their portfolio website. While the promotion lasts, and on a first-request basis, the WIX/Yale Partnership will provide Yale students a personal code to activate a subsidized WIX premium account.
• YaleConnect: Registered Student Organizations have access to YaleConnect, powered by CampusGroups. Once an organization is registered on YaleConnect, they can create a webpage, events, and add any other information relevant to their work.

Podcasting

The following platforms all offer free podcast hosting and recording:

Design

• Students can purchase a discounted individual license via credit card for Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Express using the form found on the Software Directory. Information on License pricing can be found in the Adobe Licensing Transition FAQ.
• LinkedIN learning offers online training courses for creatives. Students interested in producing their own publications can find courses on graphic design, typography, layout and composition, and digital publishing.

Printing

• Student PaperCut Mapshows all student copier locations on campus.
• Commercial Printers The following printers can produce projects ranging from booklets and programs to perfect bound annual reports. Tyco offers a discount to Yale students and YPPS is the University’s in house printer.

• Printing presses and art spaces If you are interested in doing a smaller copy run, want to print your own chapbooks, or are creating an unconventional publication, you may want to make use of the following artmaking spaces. Please note that most residential college art making spaces are available only to students in that college.

Publicity and Promotion

• The Yale College Arts Marketing Handbook includes information and guidance about how to promote your work on campus, in New Haven, in the regional, and nationally.

Archiving

The Yale University Archives is interested in collecting records (analog or digital) that document your group’s organization history and publications. Learn more about donating student organization records or by sending an email to the University Archivist at archives@yale.edu.
