Straubinger Herzogstadtlauf 2025

The BVT-Team was well represented in this year’s edition of the Straubing Herzogstadtlauf 2025, where our staff and students turned out in impressive numbers to take part in all disciplines of Straubing’s premier running event. Two teams participated in the 5km team run and 10km team run, while the rest participated in the individual disciplines: 5km, 10km, and the half marathon. For most participants, it was the culmination of months spent balancing their teaching, research, and lab duties with a demanding training schedule to be in top shape for the run.

The rain and the cold were not enough to dampen the spirits of the participants, who were all eager to challenge themselves mentally and physically. They gathered under the rain, checking their watches and recounting the highs and lows of the race: the heart rates, overtakes, rivalries, and personal bests. As they shared snacks and drinks at the finish line, eyes gleamed at the medals around their necks, a quiet testament to their dedication. The conversations converged to one common conclusion: "We have to do this again next year, right?"
