Projects and Theses

For your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis or research internship at TUM, we are pleased to offer topics in thermodynamics and process engineering. Your work will be an integral part of one of our ongoing research projects and will be supervised by a member of our scientific staff.

Beyond technical guidance, we provide support in project management and presentation skills. This includes not only the written thesis but also a presentation that you will deliver during our group seminar.

We value close collaboration between students and scientific staff. At the start of your project, we will discuss your goals and the planned approach. You will then receive a written assignment outlining the scope and objectives of your work, which will be tailored to your study/examination regulations. We ensure that the framework of your project allows you to successfully achieve your goals within the agreed timeframe.

Interested? Simply choose one of the available topics. You can obtain more details about specific projects in a personal discussion with the respective supervisors.

No special prior knowledge is required for most topics—we provide efficient onboarding and training. However, any relevant background knowledge is welcome. For many projects, it is beneficial to have already attended lectures offered by our group.

Available Topics All topics can be pursued as final thesis projects or research internships
