# Exploring Mixtures, Solubilities, and Absorption: CTV Contributions in Hamburg CTV at Thermodynamik-Kolloquium 2025

Four CTV researchers presented posters, while Prof. Burger chaired a session on process engineering applications.

Four members of the CTV team presented posters at this year's Thermodynamics Colloquium (Thermodynamik-Kolloquium), held Sept. 22-24 at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).

### CTV posters

- – *Experimental Study of the Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium in Formaldehyde-Containing Mixtures Using a Short Residence Time Method*
- – *Measurement and Modeling of Salt Effects on the  Liquid–Liquid Equilibrium in Water / Butanol and Water / Butanol / Formaldehyde Systems*
- – *A Novel Headspace Gas Chromatography Technique for Precise Measurement of Gas Solubilities in Liquids at Low Pressures*
- – *Experimental Investigation and Modeling of the CO₂ Absorption Behavior in Aqueous Neutral Red Solutions at Low Pressure*

In addition, chaired the session on *Process Engineering Applications*, which featured talks on distillation sequence optimization, innovative CO₂ separation methods, condensation heat transfer, and refrigerant mixtures for industrial heat pumps. The Thermodynamik-Kolloquium 2025, hosted by WATT e.V. and TUHH, brought together researchers and industry experts to exchange on thermodynamics in energy, process, and molecular systems.\
