# Excursion Karmeliten-Brewery

A group of students from the bachelor course, Bioverfahrenstechnik, visited the Karmeliten brewery in Straubing on Monday 26.01.2026 together with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Zavrel and his team. The Braumeister, Thomas Eichenseher, took the group on an insightful tour through the brewery, explaining the process from malting to bottling,  emphasizing the process technical and quality aspects of brewing a beer that is loved by the entire region. The students had several questions and an engaging discussion was held after the tour over some fresh Brezen and, of course, Karmeliten drinks.
