# Doctoral Students Meet Their Industry Mentors

From October 8th to 10th, the **Professorship of Bioprocess Engineering** held its annual scientific retreat at the beautiful monastery grounds of **Raitenhaslach**. Three days filled with **inspiring scientific discussions**, **continuous improvement ideas**, and **presentation skill development** — all in a setting that fosters creativity and collaboration. A spooky city tour along the world’s longest castle in **Burghausen** added a touch of adventure to the program.

The highlight of the retreat, however, was the **meeting between our doctoral students and their mentors from industry**. We are deeply grateful for the engaging discussions, valuable feedback, and fresh perspectives our mentors brought to the table.
