In Straubing, you not only enjoy excellent teaching, the university city also impresses with its high quality of life. Straubing is located in a scenically attractive region – on the Danube and in the immediate vicinity of the Bavarian Forest – with a wide range of sports, leisure and cultural activities. In a location like Straubing, students benefit from short distances as well as affordable rents and living costs.
Thanks to the well-developed bicycle network and a bicycle rental system, students can reach all areas of the city quickly and safely. Otherwise, a comprehensive city bus service guarantees mobility.
Straubing is conveniently located on both the A3 and A92 freeways and the B8 and B20 federal highways, and is only a 60-minute drive from Munich International Airport. Situated in the middle of the triangle of Munich, Passau and Regensburg, the city is very easy to reach by train.
