The mission of the Enhanced Loan Counseling Task Force is to support students by providing individualized counseling & alternative resources to reduce loan debt with focused attention on the student’s future. **At this time, Enhanced Loan Counseling is being offered to undergraduate students enrolled at the Homewood campus.**

**Objectives**:

- Be done in a timeline that allows the student, if needed to decrease their borrowing amount.
- Include the cumulative debt for the borrower to date.
- Reduce the number of students left with burdensome student debt.
- Help students make smart decisions about financing post-secondary education.

As stated in [U.S. News](https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/jhu-2077/paying), the JHU average undergraduate student loan debt is $12,750.
