# Theatre Arts and Studies, Minor

## Theatre Arts and Studies Minor Requirements

All courses for the minor must be taken for letter grades and receive a grade of C- or higher. Courses taken at another institution that are not directly equivalent to a JHU course may not apply towards the minor without permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies.

:   Current options include:  Script and Stage,  Living Playwrights: Contemporary Plays by Contemporary Writers,  Contemporary Theatre & Film,  A History of Black Performance and Drama,  21st Century Female Playwrights,  Adaptation for the Stage,  Shakespeare: Page, Stage, Screen,  The Art of the Dramaturg,  The Existential Drama: Philosophy and Theatre of the Absurd,  Playwriting Strategies, and  History of Modern Theatre & Drama. Drama Courses in other departments by permission.

:   Current options include:  Voice and Speech for the Actor,  Performing Musical Theatre,   Elements of Theatrical Design,  Shakespeare in Performance,  Stagecraft,  Scene Study,  Theatre: Tech Direction,  Performance, The Lab - The Actor/Director/Playwright Lab,  Design for the Stage,  Comedy Tonight,  Moment Work, and  Creative Improvisation: For Theatre and for Life

:   This course may be any theatre course (AS.225.2xx-4xx). Students may speak to the Director of Undergraduate Studies for additional guidance in selecting this course.
