Are you passionate about libraries and want to help shape the future of library services, spaces, and information resources at Johns Hopkins? Apply to be part of our new Library Student Advisory Council and make your voice heard!

The Library Student Advisory Council (LSAC) is a group of undergraduate and graduate students who collaborate with Dean Long and the Sheridan Libraries staff to improve the student experience, with a specific focus on Homewood campus library spaces and services. Council members provide feedback, share ideas, and help guide library initiatives that support academic success, equity, innovation, and community engagement.

## Why Join?

As a council member, you will:

- Represent student perspectives in conversations about library services, programs, and spaces
- Gain leadership and professional development experience
- Collaborate with peers and library staff on meaningful projects
- Build your resume and network within the Hopkins community
- Make a real difference in shaping library priorities

## Commitment

- **Term:** Academic year 2025–26 (September to May)
- **Meetings:** Twice per semester, on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m., in the MSE Library Annex or Brody Learning Commons.
- **Additional Opportunities:** Optional working groups, events, or special projects

## Who Should Apply?

We welcome undergraduate and graduate students from all class years, disciplines, and backgrounds who:

- Want to help shape library spaces and services on the Homewood campus
- Have an interest in libraries, learning, technology, research, or community service
- Enjoy collaborating in diverse groups
- Want to amplify student voices in institutional decision-making

No prior experience working at the library is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn and contribute!
