### How to use this guide

This guide is designed to help you find both statistics and datasets. This guide is organized by subject. Use the sidebar to find data and statistics relevant to your subject of interest. These resources listings are not comprehensive, and are only designed to highlight prominent and significant data and statistics collections, by discipline. If you need help finding a particular dataset or statistic in your discipline, reach out to your subject  librarian!

### Access to JHU Specific Content

Access to some data and statistics resources are limited to active Johns Hopkins affiliates, and will require you to log in with your JHED ID and password in order to use them. If you are on the Johns Hopkins "guest" wireless networks (on both Homewood and JHMI campuses), or off campus, you willNOT always be able to view full content of subscribed databases unless you use the [Virtual Private Network (VPN)](https://hub.jhu.edu/at-work/2016/07/26/access-virtual-private-network/ "VPN Instructions").

### How can I get help finding the data or statistics I am looking for?

Reach out to us at [dataservices@jhu.edu](mailto:dataservices@jhu.edu?subject=Data%20Access%20Inquiry) and we can assist you in finding locating the appropriate data or statistics.

If you know specifically which dataset you are interested in, but JHU does not subscribe, and you are an active JHU affiliate you may apply for a [JHU Libraries Data Grant](https://dataservices.library.jhu.edu/data-grant/) and, contingent on eligibility and availability, you will receive access to the data you need.
