The Sheridan Libraries provides reservable group study rooms in the Brody Learning Commons. You can book these rooms and others on any Johns Hopkins campus using 25Live.
Notice: Do not invite people from outside of Hopkins to join your meeting. Only Hopkins affiliates are allowed inside library buildings.

Hopkins Bloomberg Center Study Rooms
- Reservable by JHU students.
- 27 group study rooms, ranging in size from 4 to 10 seats.
- Three group study rooms are located in the Frary Library: 228B, 228H, and 228L.

Library Group Study Room Policies
- Reservations can be made by Johns Hopkins students.
- Only Hopkins affiliates are permitted entry to library buildings.
- The availability window is 48 hours from the current time, rolling over every hour.
- Maximum duration for a booking is 2 hours, once per day.
- You may book up to 4 reservations per week.
Additional room guidelines
- Reservations have priority over walk-ins.
- J-card swipe is required for entry.
- If a room is not occupied within the first 10 minutes of the reservation block, the room is then free for walk-in use.
- Students can’t reserve a small number of larger rooms (such as BLC 4040), but may use them when they are not being used by library staff.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure you are booking within the 48-hour booking window
- If you have exceeded 4 reservations in the past week, wait until the restriction window passes

Instructions
- Log in to your 25Live using your JHED ID, you will see a grid of rooms in Brody Learning Commons.
- Click and drag up to 2 hours to select a slot that is within the next 48 hours.\ \ Note: If you choose more than 2 hours 25Live will change your selection to 2 hours.\ Note: If the cursor does not allow you to select a time slot, it is because it is more than 48 hours in the future or the room is otherwise unavailable.
- Fill out the Express Scheduling form by giving your study session a name, which only you can see.\ \ Note: Never select “Open in Form.”
- Click “Save,” and your reservation will be complete with no approval required.\ Note: Reservations cannot be canceled or edited, so be sure your details are correct.
