A collection of visual art and material culture at Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University Campus Collection enriches the intellectual and cultural life of the university with visual art and material culture of diverse styles, perspectives and identities, and objects that represent university history.

The collection has grown during the past 140 years, with objects ranging from historic portraits to monumental outdoor sculptures to works of art on paper. It includes commissioned site-responsive art, furniture, scientific apparatus, commemorative medals, and ceremonial objects. Objects are located in buildings and on the grounds of the university’s Homewood, Peabody, Harbor East, and Washington D.C. campuses.

The Johns Hopkins Archaeological Museum, Homewood Museum, Evergreen Museum & Library, and the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution have their own separate collections.
