Visual Arts Minor Requirements

Students minoring in visual arts may focus on studio art, fiber art, digital & analog photography courses, or a combination of two tracks.

Each student’s complete program of study must be approved by their assigned Art Faculty Advisor.

To declare an Art Minor please visit https://advising.jhu.edu/completing-your-degree/declare-major-minor/ and when completing the declaration form please write whether you are interested in studio art, fiber art, or photography. If you are unsure, please choose studio arts.

1 : The core course can be waived under special circumstances with approval of your art minor advisor. However, the student must take an additional elective to ensure the completion of at least five, 3-credit, visual arts courses (unless one independent study of at least 2 credits is allowed).
