## MS in Applied Economics and Certificate in Financial Management

The Master of Science in Applied Economics program and the Carey Business School offer the MS in Applied Economics and Certificate in Financial Management combined credential to allow students to exploit the complementary relationship between finance and economics. This enables students to earn both the MS degree and a graduate certificate for a total of 13 courses—eight through the MS in Applied Economics program and five through Carey Business School.

### PROGRAM-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the materials and credentials required for all programs, the Master of Science in Applied Economics program also requires:

- One semester of introductory microeconomics, passed with at least a B
- One semester of introductory macroeconomics, passed with at least a B
- One semester of undergraduate statistics, passed with at least a B
- One undergraduate course that covers multivariate calculus, passed with at least a B

Students pursuing the combined MS in Applied Economics and Certificate in Financial Management must complete 13 courses:

- Eight MS in Applied Economics program courses
- Five courses from Carey Business School for the certificate
