Leonard L. Milberg ’53 High School Poetry Prize ---

Through 2024-25, the Leonard L. Milberg ’53 High School Poetry Prize recognized outstanding work by student writers in the 11th grade in the U.S. or abroad. Eligibility for the annual contest was limited to U.S. or international students in the eleventh grade. The jury consisted of members of the Princeton University Creative Writing faculty.

The Leonard L. Milberg ’53 High School Poetry Prize has been discontinued starting with the 2025-26 academic year.

The Princeton University Poetry Contest for High School Students was formerly called the Leonard L. Milberg ’53 Secondary School Poetry Contest.

Past winners who have gone on to become Princeton University students include:
