Runqi (Tina) Zhang joined the German Department in Fall of 2024. She is an avid medievalist with research interests in the role gender plays in devotional literature and epics as well as classical reception in Medieval German literature due to her long-time passion for Latin literature. At Princeton, she is also intrigued by connecting theories in media studies with medieval German devotional practices.

She graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in 2022, where she majored in German Studies and Classics. During her time there, she has translated and published multiple translations of medieval texts written in Medieval Latin, Classical Chinese, Middle High German, and Middle English. Since then, she worked as a Latin Lecturer and Academic English Teacher in Chinese Universities in her hometown Beijing, China.
