Hi everyone! My name is Odette and I am a senior in the [Politics Department](https://politics.princeton.edu/) pursuing a certificate in [Latin American Studies](https://plas.princeton.edu/). After Princeton, I intend to pursue a career in immigration law.

On campus, I am a [Peer Academic Adviser](https://advising.princeton.edu/advising/peer-academic-advisers) and a member of Brown Co-Op. I am also a part of [Students for Prison Education, Abolition, and Reform](https://princetonspear.com/), and I teach weekly ESL classes to Mercer County residents. Although I have since stepped down from other leadership roles to make time for my upcoming senior thesis, I have also loved my time working with Princeton’s Latin American Student Association and the [Princeton University Mentoring Program](https://fieldscenter.princeton.edu/pump). In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to rock music, cooking, and making art.

Please reach out with any questions you might have about campus life, my fields of study, or my experience as a first-generation college student!

Spring's Return

2023-04-19

Odette Perrusquia

The first day of real warm weather during the spring semester is always one of my favorite days out of the whole year. Princeton students that have been hiding from the colder weather for months suddenly reappear on campus grounds as though awakened from their winter, indoor-studying slumber.

Good Days and Bad Days

A Thousand Paths to Princeton

2023-03-30

Odette Perrusquia

I believe my first words were, “Oh my God I got in,” and I believe after that (as well as after refreshing the page dozens of times to make sure it hadn’t been a mistake) they were, “What am I going to do?”

A Week in DiningPoints

2023-03-07

Odette Perrusquia

The DiningPoints initiative was launched in September of 2022 as a way to encourage community among Princeton students, as well as between campus and the surrounding community, without having to worry about spending money out of pocket. The initiative grants all students on the unlimited dining plan 150 DiningPoints at the start of each semester (the equivalent of $150)

New York Isn’t So Scary (Or So Far) After All

2023-03-07

Odette Perrusquia

As much as I love campus, it’s good to get away every now and then. The occasional day trip is a great and accessible option, not only to New York, but other nearby cities as well. This means that you can experience the city whenever you choose while still enjoying the small-town feel of the surrounding Princeton area.
