Hi! I'm Uriel, a sophomore international student from a rural Israeli community, now at Princeton after a few years working and serving in the military. My journey as a non-traditional student and a member of the Transfers and Veterans cohort greatly shapes my Princeton experience.
I am currently a Computer Science major, although my interests are quite varied and include minors in Spanish, Latin American Studies, and Translation Studies. I am also very interested in international geopolitics, and you can find me attending many of the SPIA talks throughout the year.
I am the president of Princeton Israel's Community, an affinity club for Israelis on campus, and a member of the JLats E-board, where we celebrate the intersection of Latin American and Jewish heritage. I am also a devoted yogi and a huge fan of Ruth, our yoga instructor at Dillon gym. I love the ceramics studio, where I would go to decompress by making very ugly bowls. \ \ I am also an avid traveler and have journeyed with Princeton to Ecuador, Kenya, Peru, and Puerto Rico. This winter, with support from the PIIRS Undergraduate Fellowship, I will travel to Argentina to lead a student delegation working on restoration projects in the rural communities where my grandparents are from.
