# Student Summer Funding Opportunities ---

Each year, the Lewis Center for the Arts provides students the opportunity to spend the summer pursuing or researching a project in the creative and performing arts or participating in an internship, residency or fellowship. Current first-year students, sophomores or juniors may submit applications for course, travel, and/or research costs related to their studies. Certain opportunities below may also be available for current seniors. Award winners and amounts are determined by a committee of Lewis Center faculty members.

## Summer Funding Timeline for 2025-26

Funding applications for summer 2026 projects and research will open Monday, February 2.

**The application deadline will be Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5 p.m.**

## Funding Opportunities

Most general summer funding requests should be submitted through the Lewis Center Summer Funding application portal. Funding is available with support from multiple generous donors. **Students need not apply for any particular funding source when proposing a project to this funding opportunity; the committee will determine what funding source is used for each student’s project.**

Awards of particular note within the Lewis Center funding are the Alex Adam ’07 Award and the Mallach Senior Thesis Fund. Additional funding is available with typical awards ranging from $250 to $1,500. In addition to the Lewis Center general funding, other specific internships, residency, and fellowship opportunities are listed and linked below:
