Profile

Leonie Hunter’s research examines the intersections of political philosophy, aesthetics, and critical theory. She is a postdoctoral research fellow at the German Department, currently working on her book project “Technologies of Social Abstraction: Towards a Critical Theory of Artificial Valorization.” She completed her PhD at Frankfurt University with a political reading of Hegel’s theory of drama, “Das Drama im Politischen: Hegels Ästhetik als demokratietheoretischer Traktat,” published by Konstanz University Press in 2023. In 2024, she published her second book, “Tragischer Liberalismus,” which offers a critical analysis of the structural continuities within the liberal political order.
