Add items using the Library catalogue
Click Add and Search the Library.
Enter your keywords and click the search symbol.\ Find your desired item and click the plus symbol. Then choose the preferred section of your list and click Add.\ \ If you want students to read a particular chapter of a book, choose Add & Edit, then change the format type to book chapter and update the details.\
To move the order of items in your list, hover over the left-hand side of an item and drag to your desired location.
Add items manually
If you can’t find an item in the Library catalogue, you can add it manually. For example, you can link to a website or upload a file of your own. \ Click Add and Manual entry.\
Select the type of item (e.g. article, website, book) and enter the title.\ If the item has a file add it here, you can browse for the file or drag and drop then click Next.
Enter the relevant bibliographic information such as the URL link and publication date and click Next.\
Under the heading Add to section choose the relevant section and click Add.\
Adding audiovisual materials to lists
ClickView
ClickView is an online video content resource that provides access to TV programs sourced from free-to-air TV and Foxtel. It can be used by academic staff to assign streaming content to students, including films, news, TV series and documentaries.

Kanopy
Kanopy is a streaming service that provides access to a streamed video for a 12-month period. Once this period has expired, the video will need to be requested again. You can do this via the online form.
Cite It!
Add external items to your list using the Cite It! tool. \ \ To add the Cite It! bookmarklet to your internet browser:
- Click the Settings button in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Cite It! from the drop-down menu.
- A pop-up window will open with instructions to be followed. Note: For the Cite It! bookmarklet to work, pop-ups need to be enabled in your browser settings. \
Edit items
Click the menu button (3 dots) on the item you want to edit.\ Click Edit item.
Here you can refine details about the item such as title, publisher, publication date, and page numbers.
Click Savewhen complete.
To edit a link or file click on the Links & availability tab whilst still in Edit item. Under the heading Files you can add or remove files.\ Under the heading View online you can edit or delete links. You can add links by clicking on + URL. Click Save after any edits.
Add tags
Tags are pre-set by the Library and are used to identify actions for students or the Library.
Click on the item title or go to the Item actions tab. Under the heading Add tagselect the appropriate tag, (Required, Recommended, Digitise, Move to Short Loans, or Place a purchase request).
Multiple tags can be selected.
The Requiredand Recommended tags are the only tags visible to students.
The below tags have the following functions:
- Digitise: request a scan of a chapter or range of pages.
- Move to Short Loans: request that a required print book be moved to the Library's Short Loan section.
- Place a Purchase Request: request a required item be purchased.
Add a note
Click on the item title and add notes under Note for students.\
