# Interjugary glands

the additional glands occurring along the leaf [rhachis](https://eflora.sydney.edu.au/glossary/rhachis "the axis or axes of a compound leaf bearing pinnae or pinnules, or of an inflorescence.") between the insertion of successive pairs of pinnae, occurring below the single and often slightly larger [gland](https://eflora.sydney.edu.au/glossary/gland "a structure, embedded or projecting, which secretes such substances as nectar or oil.") which is found at or just below the insertions of these pinnae.
