## How to apply
To be considered for a RTP scholarship and equivalent University scholarships, you must:
### Commencing students
1. Apply for admission and submit all required documentation for admission to a higher degree by research through by the deadlines outlined in the 'Application and award timeline' table – these differ for and [international students](/scholarships/australian-government-research-training-program/rtp-international.html#timeline).
2. Submit the scholarship application form by the deadlines.
### Currently enrolled students
1. Be currently enrolled in a higher degree by research.
2. Submit the scholarship application form by the deadlines.
