Your Semester 1 timetable is now available in Sydney Timetable. You’re able to review and make adjustments to your timetable up until 11.59 pm on 8 March.

Important information regarding a cyber incident

Important information about a recent cyber incident at The University of Sydney.

Last week we were alerted to suspicious activity in our online IT code library. We took immediate action to protect our systems and community by blocking the unauthorised access and securing the environment.

This incident is unrelated to yesterday’s student results issue.

We have notified relevant government authorities and are working with our cyber security partners to fully understand the scope of the situation. An investigation is underway and, given its complexity, we expect this process to continue into the new year. At this stage, the unauthorised access was limited to a single platform and did not affect other University systems.

We're here to support students affected by the devastating floods, cyclones and torrential rain across Asia, particularly across Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. We'd like to remind you that free health and wellbeing support is available 24/7. If your studies have been impacted, including sitting for an exam, special consideration and arrangements may be available to you. If you wish to apply, please submit a student declaration (docx, 51.5KB) as your supporting document. Information about how to apply for special consideration can be found on the current student website.

If you are a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student and you find you will need to take a period of leave or discuss any candidature or current scholarship matter, please contact your HDRAC team for advice. You can find details about additional support for HDR students on the Graduate Research Hub.
