## Easy access
All Library locations have designated accessible parking spaces nearby. These spaces are free to use for all patrons displaying a current Mobility Parking Scheme card.
Physical collections, group study rooms and recording studios are wheelchair accessible, as are many of the bathroom and kitchen facilities.
Visit [Getting to Campus](https://www.sydney.edu.au/about-us/campuses/getting-to-campus.html "Link to getting to campus page") or use the campus [MazeMaps](https://maps.sydney.edu.au/ "Campus maps") for more information about accessible buildings and facilities.
## Welcoming staff
Library staff are happy to help with wayfinding, retrieving items, photocopying, and delivering items from the collection to your home address through our [Library Distance Clients service](https://library.sydney.edu.au/support/borrowing/distance-client-registration.html "Link to library distance clients page").
Contact staff via Live Chat or in person during information desk hours.
### Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative
Library staff also participate in the [Hidden Disabilities Sunflower](https://hdsunflower.com/au "Link to Hidden Disabilities Sunflower website") initiative, providing additional support, understanding and time to anyone wearing the sunflower lanyard.\
You can get a lanyard at an information desk, or by contacting the [Inclusion and Disability Services](https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/health-wellbeing/inclusion-and-disability.html "Link to inclusion and disability page for student") (for students) or [Diversity and Inclusion](https://intranet.sydney.edu.au/employment/diversity-inclusion.html "Link to diversity and inclusion page for staff") (for staff).
## Assistive technology
An assistive technology lab is located on level 3 of Fisher Library. Here you can access specialist software and hardware for:
- speech recognition
- magnifying and screen reading
- colour overlay
- braille embossing
- printing and more.
Specialist staff are available to help you use these resources.
There are also 2 internal booths within the lab for independent study.
To access this facility, you must register with [Inclusion and Disability Services](https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/health-wellbeing/inclusion-and-disability.html "Link to inclusion and disability page").
## Web content
Our website and catalogue discovery tool are designed to be compatible with assistive technologies and allow for keyboard navigation, with scalable fonts to accommodate the broadest range of user needs.
All new webpages are designed to be compliant with the [W3C](http://www.w3.org/ "Link to W3C website") (World Wide Web Consortium) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines [WCAG2.1 to Level AA](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/ "Link to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines").
## Alternative formats
Items in the University collection may be available to academic staff and students with disability to adjust formatting for accessible use. Contact the [Inclusion and Disability Services](https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/health-wellbeing/inclusion-and-disability.html "Link to inclusion and disability page") team or a Library staff member if you need assistance with this service.
For more information about alternative formats, read Using copyright material: people with a disability – KB 31781).
## Always improving
The Library established an action group in 2021 to implement the University’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan in all Library spaces. This group includes advocates from each Library division, as well as representatives from Inclusion and Disability Services, Diversity and Inclusion, and ICT.
