The Online Student Profile gives you the opportunity to tell the Admissions Committee about your abilities, strengths and interests. In particular, we are interested in your activities and achievements that demonstrate leadership, dedication and overall excellence.

The Online Student Profile is a mandatory part of your application. If you do not submit your Online Student Profile, your application will not be considered for admission. You will receive access to the Online Student Profile on the Engineering Applicant Portal shortly after the Faculty has received your application from the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC).

The recommended deadline to complete all parts of the Online Student Profile and submit all required documents is December 2. A full list of deadlines can be found here.

The Online Student Profile includes the following sections:

Watch the Personal Profile video tutorial for more info and to view sample questions.

Still have questions? Visit the Personal Profile FAQs to see answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

Your application cannot be reviewed if required documents are missing. All required documents must be submitted by the deadline for consideration. For early consideration, your documents must be submitted by December 2.

Updating Your Online Student Profile

Visit the Engineering Applicant Portal regularly to check the status of your application and confirm that all required documents have been provided.

We ask that you update your grades, extracurricular information and documents as new information becomes available. Note that while your application is under review by the Admission Committee, your application will be locked, and you will not be able to make any changes.

Any updates made by the Admissions Office or admissions decisions will be displayed on the dashboard of the Engineering Applicant Portal.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Applicants

Indigenous Canadian students who are applying to U of T Engineering are encouraged to self-identify on the Ontario Universities Applicant Centre application and the Online Student Profile. This declaration is voluntary and will be used by the Admissions Committee in considering applicants for the U of T Engineering Entrance Scholarship for Indigenous Students.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at indigenous@engineering.utoronto.ca.
