## Prerequisites

- Participation in the Australia Program requires background knowledge in biology, especially in the field of ecology.
- Completion of one of the following courses: BIO 46, BIO 47, BIO81/BIOHOPK 81, BIO 101, BIO 105A, BIO 115, BIO 130, or HUMBIO 2A.
- Admitted students will be required to take a swimming test in May.

**NOTE:**Accepted students must complete a swim test to maintain eligibility for the Australia program. This consists of treading water for 5 minutes and swimming 50 yards. Test forms will be distributed once students are accepted into the program and tests can be administered by the Avery Recreation Pool lifeguard staff.
