## Dates and Deadlines
In preparation for your arrival, review these important dates and deadlines and complete the following items.
## FIRST-YEARS
May 1 | Deadline to Enroll
Accept your admission offer online through the [Stanford portal](https://apply.stanford.edu/status) and submit the non-refundable deposit of $200 **on or before May 1**. Create your [SUNet ID](https://admit.sites.stanford.edu/next-steps/sunetid) (required to access your Stanford account, email, and secure Stanford websites). Update your current mailing address in [Axess](http://axess.stanford.edu/).
Early May | First Approaching Stanford Email
Check your [Stanford email](http://webmail.stanford.edu/) account for access to your required Approaching Stanford Forms. [*Approaching Stanford*](http://approaching.stanford.edu/)is the summer process that will provide information about courses, housing assignments, health insurance and orientation. You must complete the Approaching Stanford Requirements in order to enroll in your courses. All official university communication will be sent to your Stanford email account.
Early June | Approaching Stanford Forms Due
Required [*Approaching Stanford*](http://approaching.stanford.edu/) online forms are due, including applications for campus housing. Do not apply for housing in Axess.
July 1 | Official Final Transcripts and Test Scores Due
You can check your [Stanford portal](https://apply.stanford.edu/status) to see which required documents have been received and which ones are still due.
September 12-15 | International Student Orientation and Move-In Day
International students (non-U.S. citizens, non-Permanent Residents) are required to arrive before New Student Orientation (NSO) to attend International Student Orientation.
September 15 | Move-In Day and New Student Orientation!
Move-In and New Student Orientation (NSO) will take place on September 15, the week before the start of Autumn Quarter. All new students are required to live on campus and participate in the full duration of NSO, which will conclude on September 20. Students who do not attend NSO will not be able to enroll in courses. Late August | Transfer Visit Day (optional)
Hosted by Academic Advising and the Office of Undergraduate Admission, Transfer Visit Day is a structured program where you can: meet new and current transfers, learn about campus resources that can support your transition to Stanford, explore Stanford’s beautiful campus and talk with faculty members and campus leaders.
