# Filing and Other Fees

## Fees

**USCIS will accept only electronic payment. At Stanford, fees must be paid by credit card.**

USCIS fees on Form G-1450 may be paid by [Stanford PCard](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p9C0cofTaGzzHtVrcH8KKFgjDkEv09uF/edit?usp=share_link&ouid=101795095985063452691&rtpof=true&sd=true). All fees for the same H-1B request must be paid by [PCard](https://fingate.stanford.edu/purchasing-contracts/policy/stanford-purchasing-card-pcard).  **If paying by Stanford PCard you** **must use a card with an individual’s name** as opposed to a department name. USCIS rejects petitions using a department name on the credit card form.

- **Basic fee: $460** Fee must be paid by Stanford.
- **Anti Fraud Fee: $500 for initial and port (transfer) petitions only** If the beneficiary is not currently in H-1B status under Stanford's H-1B sponsorship, the $500 Anti-Fraud fee is required. Fee must be paid by Stanford.
- **NEW UPDATE [1-9-2026] Additional Premium Processing: Fee increases from $2,805 to $2,965 effective March 1, 2026.** May be paid by the department or the beneficiary. For H-1B petitions, however, the Premium Processing fee **must** be paid by the department if payment by the employee would cause the net salary amount to drop below the prevailing wage. For all types, the use of Premium Processing guarantees a response from USCIS within fifteen business days. The Premium Processing fee is payable **in addition to the basic fee**.
- **Dependents: $470** No biometrics fee needs to be included for dependent applications.

**Departments and other hiring units will be assessed an institutional fee of $450 for each H petition.** This fee is in effect for all new and extension, change of status, amendment, consular processing or port requests. No check is required for this fee, which is collected by entry of a PTA in Workflow (must be a non-sponsored PTA). Please note that a 50% refund can be requested for H petitions received by Bechtel but cancelled before a Labor Condition Application was filed. No refund of the institutional fee will be provided for H petitions for which a Labor Condition Application has been submitted.

**Departments and other hiring units will be assessed an institutional fee of $200 for each E-3 submitted.**   This fee is in effect for all requests. No check is required for this fee, which is collected by entry of a PTA in Workflow (must be a non-sponsored PTA). No refund of the institutional fee will be provided for an E-3 for which a Labor Condition Application has been submitted.

Stanford paymeny is unnecessary for E-3 or TN applicants who are applying in their home country or elsewhere outside the US.

**Include the credit card forms in the document packet or deliver them to Bechtel.**
