# Alumni Engagement

The Black community at Stanford extends far beyond those who are currently on campus. Our alumni are essential members of our community. Our Alumni Engagement Committee creates opportunities for our alumni to stay connected. They produce avenues for alumni to develop mentorship relationships with current students, connect with fellow alumni across the years, and to maintain their own connection to Stanford.

### Fall Quarter

- **[Reunion / Homecoming Weekend](https://reunion.stanford.edu/)** occurs near the end of October. The committee acts as on the ground support for our main event, Black Plaza!

### Spring Quarter

- Our NIA Series provides graduate students an opportunity to hear from a Black graduate school alum. The committee works our our one of our Graduate Students in Residence to identify a speakers and create the program.
- The committee publishes the Black Community Services Center's Black Alumni Newsletter every spring.
