# How To Apply for Undergraduate Minor

### Declaring the Global Studies Minor with African Studies Specialization

To declare the Global Studies minor with African Studies specialization, students must:

1. Set up an appointment with the minor advisor [Laura Hubbard](https://africanstudies.stanford.edu/people/laura-hubbard), Associate Director for the Center for African Studies.
2. Declare the Global Studies minor in [Axess](http://axess.stanford.edu/)
3. Complete the [Declaration or Change of Undergraduate Major, Minor, Honors, or Degree Program](https://registrar.stanford.edu/students/undergraduate-degree-progress/declaring-undergraduate-majors-honors-and-minors#:~:text=Declaring%20a%20Major&text=You%20should%20contact%20the%20department,a%20new%20major%20in%20Axess.) process in Axxess to declare the African Studies specialization. Submit the form to Laura Hubbard at the [Center for African Studies office](https://africanstudies.stanford.edu/about/contact-location).
